About

I’m Nina Sønderberg, a psychotherapist, educator, and author of 30 Days of Self-Love.

I specialize in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and positive psychology, having trained at the EFT Institute and becoming a member of the Danish Psychotherapy Association (MPF).

In my private practice in Copenhagen, I support individuals in navigating life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and emotional depth.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us.

I often incorporate journaling and therapeutic writing prompts to help my clients cultivate self-love, build resilience, and gain deeper personal insight.

I offer face-to-face EFT sessions at my practice in the centre of Copenhagen.

In addition to my clinical work, I’m also a supervisor and educator.

I bring extensive experience in mentalisation-based approaches, family counselling, and community well-being. In educational settings, I combine evidence-based methods with creativity—mentoring future therapists and guiding professionals to grow with confidence and purpose.

As an active member of the International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy (ISEFT), I contribute to research and education that advance effective therapeutic practices.

I’m also involved in international collaboration and project development through the Nordic Wellbeing Academy.

By leveraging my knowledge of EU funding, I lead cross-border initiatives that strengthen mental health services and community care.

When I’m not working, I live in the woods of Sweden with my partner and our two cats. I have two adult children and enjoy the quiet rhythms of nature and the written word.
